Two assistants at the nearby coffee shop spent almost all my entire morning reading time shouting at each other. Nominally, this presented itself as conversation. Rather, it was a demonstration that the coffee shop belonged to its employees & not the customers. A radio played music, not loud enough to accommodate listening but loud enough to be background noise. This, somehow, fit the unconscious-intentionality of claiming the space from customers, & liberating care-less-ness.

A good day working as second second-guitarist in the Satch band. Rapid learning of two tunes I didn't know, and rehearsing several more that I knew a little better. Loud, and lotsa fun. Playing in this band could get to be addictive.
